About Me
I became a Colorado Rockies fan during that improbable "Rocktober" run in 2007, my father took me on the light rail downtown to almost every ballgame, hoisting me up on his shoulders with a cardboard sign reading "NEED 2 TICKETS!" I can still feel the excitement that wrapped the city during that remarkable stretch of 21 wins in 22 games. Though we ultimately got swept by the Red Sox in the World Series, the Rockies taught me love for the underdog. Since then I've had a passion for sports stories that go beyond the game, forcing people with real life responsibilities to care about something that ultimately shouldn't matter.

Ironically, I attended college in Boston (at Emerson), where I learned the true meaning of sports fanatic. For a city whose teams have built such a winning culture, their fans are extremely championship hungry; that was a culture shock for me coming from a place where the sports market is seemingly more patient and positive.
As a Colorado native I like skiing and hiking, and otherwise taking advantage of the natural beauty of the state. Therefore I have hesitations about joining an industry which would likely require me to move or travel. That being said, my dream is to be a color commentator one day, helping the fans understand how players create jaw-dropping moments. I follow football and soccer the most but like to think I could cover any sport because I have a passion not just for learning but for strategy and competition. That being said, I also love cooking, the Office and really any music where you can hear actual instruments playing. Maybe that tracks back to my days in the Cherry Creek marching band...
